At PTR Tool & Plastics, we are well versed in a variety of manufacturing techniques that will optimize efficiency within your supply chain. Our team will evaluate the form and function of the part and assist in the selection of the proper tooling requirements for your project. We use state-of-the-art equipment to design, build, run, and inspect high-quality components for clients globally to achieve the best performance and consistent quality of the products they buy from us.

Our Precision Tooling Advantage

Our precision tooling helps meet our customers’ plastic or metal part tight tolerances and product design requirements. At our facility, we operate with a comprehensive range of equipment, while utilizing the most advanced manufacturing techniques for tool building.

We produce a wide range of precision tooling that can be used in our molds to produce accurate plastic components for the following applications.

Spare Parts & Prototyping
Consumer & Home Goods
Construction & Agriculture Parts
Automotive & Aerospace Parts
Medical Accessories
Our high precision machinery allows clients to enjoy customization options when it comes to building intricate parts. We work with a wide variety of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys to achieve the best results for production runs.

Plastic Injection Tooling

When tooling is complete, we utilize plastic injection molding to run high-volume parts in production. This process provides several advantages to large-scale production, including:
Low Price Per Unit
Low Scrap Rates
Excellent Repeatability

Our plastic injection molding creates tooling for a mold in the shape of our customer’s part or product. Once all the tooling components are complete and the mold is assembled, we inject molten plastic and allow it to cool. A single mold will create the exact plastic product every time, so this is an ideal method for creating large volumes of your needed plastic components, such as:

Plastic Under-hood Components
Plastic Cabin Accessory Components
Plastic Chemical Containers
Plastic Containers for Consumable Goods
Toiletries

Steel Forging

Our steel forging is commonly used for tooling in mechanical and industrial applications due to its strength, availability, and specialized alloy types like stainless steel and carbon steel. There are many benefits to using steel forging for tooling including:
  • Our steel forge parts offer a high degree of reliability and tolerance capabilities
  • Our steel forgings offer uniformity of composition and structure. They have minimum variation in machinability and mechanical properties
  • Our forged steel parts are stronger and more reliable than machined or cast parts
  • Our steel forgings make possible designs that accommodate high loads and stresses
  • Our steel forge parts are free from gas void pockets, or cooling defects which can lead to load failure

Zinc Die-Cast Tooling

Our Zinc is one of the most versatile of die-cast metals because it provides high precision, such as:
  • Complex shapes and thinner walls
  • RFI/EMI shielding capabilities
  • Longer die life with minimal maintenance
  • Wide range of finishing options

Progressive Metal Stamping

Our progressive stamping is a metal forming process that is widely used to produce parts for various industries, including automotive, electronics, and appliances. PTR Tool & Plastics progressive stamping is used to produce a large number of parts and to keep costs as low as possible. There are many benefits to utilizing our progressive stamping for your tooling including:
  • High volume production capabilities
  • Less scrap/metal wastage
  • Faster production cycle times per part
  • Less production downtime
  • Precision metal stamping with enhanced repeatability
